Pamela Parker's Fantastic Machine is a celebration of the Summer of Love!  This band captures the San Francisco music scene, ranging from rock to gospel to R&B to epic psychedelia.  The band features Tom Finch on guitar/vocals, Spence Murray on bass, Chris McGrew on drums, and Pamela Parker on vocals/guitar/keys. Pamela Parker’s Fantastic Machine blends sultry soulful vocals with powerful rock anthems. They have built a sound on their dynamic stage presence and commanding vocals that can drive you, make you dance, or take you on a journey.  The upcoming album, The Fantastic Machine, creates a fresh rock n'roll landscape with a wide range of surprising touchstones like Aretha Franklin, Thin Lizzy, Funkadelic and Heart. The last album, Evolutionary Process, debuted at #1 and was up for Album of the Year in Vancouver, BC.

Pamela Parker studied opera and commercial music production at Shenandoah Conservatory before establishing herself as a performer in the Washington, D.C. area.  With her own band, she toured in the US and internationally, gaining notoriety and experience.  Fulfilling a dream held since the age of 10, she finally moved to San Francisco in 2007, where she produced, engineered and released her debut record,  Beautiful Day.  Working the Bay Area music scene, she quickly had her pick of top players and put together an all-star line-up.  The band has opened for legendary acts such as Heart and Big Brother & The Holding Co., and headlined festivals such as Haight-Ashbury Street Fair, Earth Day SF and Bay Vibes Summer Fest. They also completed a second album, Evolutionary Process, with Pamela earning studio time working as an engineer and producer at the legendary Hyde Street Studios.  The band's infectious blend of rock, funk and soul touched a nerve in Vancouver, British Columbia on the radio station CHLY 101.7FM, where the album debuted at #1, and was up for Album of the Year in 2013.

Pamela's relationship with Hyde Street Studios continues to blossom, as the band continues production on their third studio album, The Fantastic Machine.  Refining their blend of elements, the band has developed a sound of their own that truly showcases each member's dynamic range.  In the past year the band has also produced a score for an award-winning short film called Love Hurts and has composed custom music for commercial clients such as Discovery Channel, RingCentral and Verizon.  Pamela Parker has created a cohesive unit with the selection of Tom Finch on guitar, Spence Murray on bass, and Chris McGrew on drums.  Together they deliver an electrifying and emotional live show with irresistible dance grooves, dueling guitar leads and soulful ballads that hit home.  With guitar in hand, Pamela's voice cuts right to the heart as she takes the stage to continue making the world a better place one song at a time.

Evolutionary Process #1 on Charts in Canada!!!

WOW...we are #1 on CHLY 101.7FM in Nanaimo, BC, Canada this week!!! Here's the album review from DJ Evil Steve of 101.7FM CHLY in Nanaimo says

"When I first heard Pamela Parker's Is It Real I knew I had to have Evolutionary Process. Pamela Parker sounds like the love child of Ann Wilson and Axle Rose all the while looking like the daughter of Slash, Eric McFadden plays the guitar like he's being possessed by Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana at the same time. There's only one real word to describe this band and this album....Smooth. This is the kind of music you want to roll over, light a cigarette and ask was it good for you, too? There is no such thing as a bad song on this album, it's the kind you can put in your car and go on a road trip on, drive with the top down and looking damn cool doing it. I'm a music director of a radio station and i feel that Pamela Parker's Evolutionary Process is my greatest discovery this year and if you're smart it'll be yours 2 "

Main Stage at the Haight Street Fair

May 24, 2013 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) – Pamela Parker will light up the city of San Francisco to celebrate her latest album, Evolutionary Process, with her all-star band on the main stage at The Haight Street Fair. The concert is FREE and family friendly. It runs all day long at the intersection of Haight Street at Stanyan Street. Pamela Parker and her band will take the Stanyan Stage at 1:30PM and play until 2:25PM. You will hear Pamela Parker on vocals and lead guitar, Kevin Carnes (Broun Fellinis) on drums, Tony Glaser (Alma Desnuda, Naked Soul) on bass, Rafael Tranquilino on lead guitar, and special guest Ryan Hickey on keys.

Pamela Parker has spent the last 2 years crafting her latest release in the city of her dreams, San Francisco, CA. She recorded and mixed her album at the legendary Hyde Street Studios in Studio A. The album features original classic rock for the new millennium. “In an age where humdrum music is still crowding the airwaves, Pamela Parker and her band have brought relevance and new life to classic rock and the music industry with this new release, Evolutionary Process,” Jack Dylan. The album also just debuted at #1 on 101.7FM CHLY radio in Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island in Canada, and is holding strong.

The music is very classic sounding guitar driven mid 70’s style rock (two lead guitars, bass, drums, powerful vocals, and occasional keyboards) with a heavy emphasis on songwriting, arrangement, and performance.  Though the template of this band is firmly planted in mid 70’s rock (taking their cues from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy and the like) their sound is totally fresh and original.  Pamela’s incredible and powerful voice is often described as a cross between Robert Plant and Janis Joplin.  She soars high like Plant but has just the right touch of gravel and growl ala Janis and when needed she sings smooth as silk.  Armed with her trusty Gibson SG, Marshall half-stack and ultra talented band mates, Parker is set to reinvigorate the music world by offering up hot slabs of fresh rock & roll.
