From the East coast to the West coast even someone from Japan is on the record. This is a compilation of 2 years of work originally started as a fan-requested acoustic album from fans who saw Roots A'Risin' playing around the East coast network. People were saying they just wanted to hear Pam stripped down with one other instrument. Well, she started it out that way, but being in the field of music production, loving to sing harmonies and as a sound engineer it was hard for her to stop at just that. This record has already gotten rave reviews from many, and continues to be added to playlist after playlist on radio stations around the country. It has even been compared to the likes of Nick Drake! Imagine that...Pam is very excited to present this work of art to everyone around the world in the hopes it will inspire positive vibrations, acts of kindness and dreams coming true. Amazing guest musicians include: Bobby Lee Rodgers of the Codetalkers, Norwood Fisher of Fishbone & Trulio Disgracias, Dave Shul of Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jordan Feinstein of The Ritual, Yari Mander of Gamelan X, Mark Calderone, Yoshi Ikeda, Daniel Parker & Ben Krames (Jungle Shack Studios). As for the past season, great things have happened. Pam was invited to play for my CD release party at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco for a WomenROCK 3rd year anniversary show along with *bernadette* and Kim Manning. WomenROCK partnered with Harmony Festival to do a Goddess Stage launch. All acts involved will also be headlining the Goddess Stage at Harmony Festival on Sunday, June 14th from 5:45-8:30pm. There was another amazing show in the winter at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA playing in the lounge with Ozomatli on the main stage. Another sold out night! Pam is starting an official campaign for the Beautiful Day CD, so look out for reviews of it to pop up everywhere. The first review came in from the Music Connection Magazine, check out their January 2009 issue or follow the link and click on the current issue to find page 49. The best part is when they say the CD "...oozes organic soul in her performances and arrangements." The CD release party was amazing and there is a video on the right from this amazing night of "Dream of Me". Pam got to have flamenco dancers to go along with my flamenco guitar. Give thanks!!!
The first episode of "The Pam Show" is slowly under way and Pam is looking to complete filming soon. I,Star is scheduled to be the first guest on the show. Completion date is set for ???...hopefully in the next 3 months. So, watch out for the first episode featuring performances by Pamela, I,Star, Lady Chi and more. Also, featured will be the Recycle Bin, a mini-show-within-a-show that teaches you how to modify existing clothing that are not so fly anymore into magnificent garments that will turn heads at the Grammy's and make Snoop Dogg say "That's dope!". The first segment of the Recycle Bin will be "Turn That Granny Sweater Into That Nanny Sweater". Stay tuned for updates...Love and Light
